It is not often that I feel compelled to write a letter of thanks to a supplier, but in this case it is richly deserved.

As you know we recently had a file of 1.3 million addresses to be printed onto C5 envelopes and had a 14-day window in which to do it. I am pleased to report that the AJ 1000 performed exceptionally well.

We averaged a little over 12,000 pieces per hour, in draft, and the machine is capable of being run by just one operator. We ran the machine for 9 hours per day for 12 consecutive days and we can honestly count the number of misfeeds. The rollers still appear to have plenty of wear left in them and we have since run a number of smaller jobs on it without a problem.

We find the software extremely user friendly and the ability to resume printing the next day from the last record is a real asset. In terms of consumables, we used 9 cartridges,printing in Arial 12 pt. draft.

I wish you the best with this product that deserves to be the printer of choice in Mailing Houses.

We purchased our Astrojet Ink System in May of 1998. We have been very pleased with the low maintenance costs on it and the fact that we can do the maintenance work ourselves. It has an exceptional quality of print that that makes the mail pieces look very professional. It also has many fonts to choose from and at the same time you can decide on the darkness of that print that you would like. We also have the dryer on our system so that while printing on slick surfaces it does not smear. Making the adjustments on size from mail piece to mail piece is very easy. You can print on a big catalog to a very small envelope with ease of adjustments.
